DVD Title Printers Offer ProfessionalismFor some people, it's enough to write the titles on discs with a permanent marker. However, while that's good enough for home use, it's not a great idea when you need to look professional. Instead of the homemade look, get the crisp, detailed look of professionally produced discs with a CD/DVD title printer. You'll be glad you did, when you're making great looking DVDs that clearly tell you what's on them. A CD/DVD title printer looks a lot like a standard labeler. It's somewhat bulky, and has a display and keypad. DVD title printers write directly onto discs, however, instead of making labels that can be hard to attach. Resolutions vary, but 200 dpi is common, and small graphics are available to make your CD or DVD's label more interesting. Remember to take care when typing, since displays for these machines can often be small – twelve characters at a time or less. Of course, if you don't like the stock of symbols included with your labeler, you can use the USB cable that's included to download more fonts and symbols from your computer. Since these printers often run on batteries, they're easy to transport. If you're prefer to use them in the office, an AC adapter means no changing batteries as they run out. The printing is done as part of a thermal process, using a ribbon. Various ribbons last different amounts of time, but many CD title printers offer at least fifty discs worth of printing on a single ribbon. Software should be included in the DVD title printer you choose, so it'll be easier to label your discs. Prices for these printers run between fifty and a hundred and fifty dollars, depending on the model and where you choose to buy. Unlike many methods of printing onto a disc, you won't need special DVDs or CDs to use this type of printer. You can only print one side of the disc front at a time, and only in black, however. Labels or color printing on special DVDs are needed for more complicated effects. However, if you're tired of dealing with ugly, hand labeled DVDs and want to give your efforts a sharper look, a DVD title printer could be the inexpensive answer. Less difficult to use than printed CD/DVD labels, and much less expensive than printers that are able to print on discs (most of which require specially coated DVDs and CDs to work), a DVD title printer makes a great addition to any office, or even to a home computing system where you make lots of DVDs.
